Lewisville ISD Marching Bands Set to Perform in UIL Competition
This Saturday, October 18th, over 1200 students representing all five LISD High School Marching Bands will begin UIL competition season at the Region 2 Marching Band Contest at CH Collins Stadium in Denton. Families, fans and community members are invited to attend – admission is FREE and the event is open to the public.

3:15pm Flower Mound HS – “MultiFACEted”
3:45pm Lewisville HS – “Latin Fiesta”
5:15pm Hebron HS – “Field Trip”
5:30pm Marcus HS – “Chasing Utopia”
The full day of competition includes 29 marching bands in classifications 2A – 6A. Performances will be evaluated by three adjudicators with groups earning division ratings. A ‘Superior’ rating earned would advance programs to the Area Marching Contest, where groups will be scored in preliminary and finals rounds with top scoring groups advancing to state. In 2025 the UIL State Marching Contest will be held for all six high school classifications in San Antonio in November.
Ahead of this weekend's competition, all five LISD high school marching bands have competed in regional competitions and recently placed top-4 in the following:
- Flower Mound: 1st Place at the Bands of America Dallas Mid-Cities Regional
- Marcus: 1st Place at the HEB Marching Contest
- Hebron: 2nd Place at the BoA Dallas Mid-Cities Regional
- Lewisville: 4th Place at the US Bands Dallas Regional
- The Colony: 4th Place at the Don Hanna Memorial Marching Contest
